It was still taking us some time to adjust our stomachs to Spanish mealtimes, so while we had just eaten, this list of dishes still caught my eye.
We were now walking from the old town to the bridge, and on across and looking down.
Dick noticed the faux cow…(click picture to view large)
The museum IN the bridge was a fascinating study. It too was on our tourist card.
This aerial photo of Ronda clearly shows the old town, with its winding streets, and the new town with more orderly streets.
Looking back into Old Town you can see the local site for the Inquisition.
And a more pleasant view looking west north west with the gathering clouds.
The new town has a Parador that sits perched on the cliff
with some breathtaking views down to the base of the gorge on the north side.
Well the day was drawing to a close, and the drive back to Estepona was looming. We never got to the Arab baths or several other sites, but this just means a trip back someday. So back past the bullring garden
And a quick stop for something to keep us going.
Our only stop on the drive back was to take some pictures of the huge, huge threatening clouds. Otherwise, it was a shorter drive but totally hair pin curves, and my knuckles turned pale and my stomach was in knots. The driver was fine, and that’s what counts. Estepona looked darn good to me after that road! I had hoped Day 6 would be one of rest and sleeping in, but tickets to the Alhambra were waiting so…I realized it would be off to bed, and then…Get in the Car to Granada.
